We just released a new version of MotionBased comprised of mostly bug fixes, but we added a few nuggets to wet your appetite of things to come:
Google Maps in Dashboard Map Preview - The most obvious change is that we've switched to Google Maps in the Map Preview section of the Dashboard. This allows you to pan and zoom on your route using the familiar Google Map interface. For those who live in areas where Google Maps does not provide good coverage, you may switch back to our original maps by changing the default map setting in your Account Preferences.

View activities in Google Maps - Map Preview not big enough? How about viewing one of more activities on a full page Google Map? Just follow these steps:
- Go to the Digest in My Activities or TrailNetwork
- Select the check boxes of the activities you would like to view in Google Maps
- Click on the "More Actions..." pull down menu
- Select "Google Maps" under Activity Exports

And the result...

And what about the Map Player and Analyzer? Let's just say we're working on it -- not too far off.
Activity Info Links - We're making it easier to browse your activities and those in the TrailNetwork by adding keyword links directly from the Activity Info portion of each activity. The blue links don't stand out, but there sure do add a lot of functionality.

Improved Course Download - We've made some improvements with Course Downloads, so you should be able to download any activity at MotionBased as a Course using the MotionBased Agent. We encourage everyone to start experimenting with Courses. Once you get the hang of using Courses during your workouts, you'll begin to really see the value of your GPS device.

yay! all the awesomeness of google maps with less clicking to get there.

I like the new updates, but I'm having a problem with the google maps export. When I attempt to use it, I click the check box next to an activity in my list, and then select Google Map Export from the drop down box. It takes me to Google Maps, which then gives me the following message:
File not found at http://trail.motionbased.co....
Suggestions:
* Make sure the URL is spelled correctly.
* Make sure the file exists.
Accompanying this, it shows me a map of the entire USA. Am I missing a step?

Are you having a problem with all exported activities or one in particular?

I love the Google Maps in the map preview! Any chance we'll get the google map option in Viewports?
Thanks!

Hey, Cool stuff.
Got stickers?!?

No stickers, yet. We may look into making some MB schwag -- stickers, bike jerseys, running shirts, etc...

whatever averaging/point filtering used on the gmap polylines is pretty harsh. bears little resemblance to the original GPS data. any chance these will get "smarter"?

I need to edit track points please tell us when this will be possible. Martin

Are you concerned about the map on the Dashboard or the export to the GoogleMaps?
We have a few ideas to improve the polylines on the Google Maps, but haven't had the opportunity to implement them yet. Our biggest limitation is the fact that GoogleMaps doesn't like to draw polylines with more than 400 points. At least not with any speed.
Like I said, we do have a few ideas, but we have a few other features lined up in front of this one.
