Impressive stuff.

I actually finished with 3 minutes to spare in the 90 hour allowance. But by the end I'd picked up tenonitis in my achilles, a sore back and a neck that would no longer support my head!

However, despite the aches and pains it is enormous fun to do. People stand by the roadside cheering you on and handing out coffee and cake. Even in the middle of the countryside at the dead of night in the drizzle a voice called out from somewhere in the dark encouraging me on!

And given the fact that I missed about 2 months of final training through a back problem (and was wondering if I'd ride at all) I'd encourage people not to think of it as an impossible challenge. All you need is a base level of fitness, a seasoned rear end and an understanding family!

Congratulations, I did the PBP too with my faired recumbent trike (Quest). You can find the trail I have uploaded here (only 1027 km):

Awesome! Thanks for the follow-up, guys. Gerard, so sorry I missed your activity; not sure how that got past me.

The ride was cool! I personally don't like such events and sport on the whole but my boy-friend is crazy about it. He couldn't tear his eyes off the ride. It was really exciting!
